That was the opening line in the movie Four Minutes. I just finished watching it, and it was a very inspirational movie about the first man (Roger Bannister) to ever run a mile in under four minutes.
If you are ever in need of an inspirational, motivational movie check it out.

Looking forward to this as it raises some money for good causes, and it should be fun as it is in Mexico.

Simple Green, originally uploaded by mozealou.
Looked all over for a degreaser that is biodegradable and effective and Simple Green is both. It is a must have for any cyclist and comes in a gallon container so you almost never run out.
I just went out for a solo ride of the Elfin Forest/Del Dios route. Today was possibly the most amazing day for cycling I have ever had. The temperature was some place in between 75-85 for virtually the entire route which is very unseasonably warm even for San Diego in February. There wasn’t a cloud in the sky and I tried to make several posts while on the rode from my iPhone. Unfortunately it looks like wordpress (who I use for blogging) doesn’t support converting attached images in emails into embedded images in posts. After the ride I went back and retroactively added some photos of the ride.

This is probably my favorite ride in San Diego as there is a little of everything, coast, wine country, forest and it has very little traffic.
I averaged 16.5 mph and was alone virtually the entire 36.5 mile route. I started in Encinitas and stopped for a bit to visit my sister who lives in Escondido.
Just got away from work for about an hour and did the Tour De Mission Bay. I am getting getting much more comfortable on the bike, and am not nearly as scared as traffic as I once was. Not sure if this is a good thing though, as this usually results in a car crash back to humility. Check out the route I did below:
